Iowa State-Ready to Announce Head Coach

While traveling this week I believe I read on this board that an announcement was coming stating that Norvell would be the next Head Coach at Iowa State. Did I read this incorrectly? Reason being, I see on ESPN.com that Iowa State will announce their Head Coach Tomorrow.

If this is the case, does anyone else see this as very bad timing as we get ready for the biggest game of the year?

It appears Gene Chizik is the new Iowa St head coach. Iowa St fans on the ISU Scout forum are saying it was reported on a couple of radio and news channels there as well as in Austin.

I would have gone for somebody with head coaching experience. That's how I would turn a program around.
