Is this where you thought Nebraska would be heading into Season 3 of Big Ten?

Brown, Fischer, Garrison, Kaz, Joseph are all 100% safe. The rest I'm not sure about.
The only way there are massive staff changes is if Pelini is fired. I see no event in which he fires his boys.
Might not be up to him. People are most likely going to be fired. The ones I named will not be one of them. If they are, I will be shocked and pissed off
How do you figure its not up to him? The AD is not going to fire assistants, and Pelini is not going to fire chunks of his staff. He hasnt really fired anyone since hes been here. Other than Sanders who violated university policy, he has found jobs for anyone who has left. And the guys we need to purge are not exactly hot commodities in the coaching field.
I would assume Solich was told he had to make some changes to save his own job after 2002 but maybe I'm wrong.

No, I did not but I am also one of those fans that thinks they should/can/will win each game. I guess I am just wired that way...but...each loss bothers me less and less.

And that works like this.

AD "Make changes or you are fired"

Soilch said "OK, changes are coming"

I do not think Pelini does that, I think he stays loyal to the end to his guys.

Shawn Watson was a hot commodity? As well as Gilmore? Tim Beck was offered other coaching jobs last year. Paps could get a job as a position coach somewhere. These coaches won't have any trouble finding other jobs.

I will bet anything that people are fired. And if Im wrong, you could say you told me so.

Polo, I had noticed that a week or so ago. I was worried then.

But honestly, I have grown to like Bo. I want him to succeed. But I no longer feel a change would kill us. We are so bad at all the basics of football. Never seems to be any improvement in those, from year to year. We do have some talent, but with what we have seen and the fact the AD has not endorsed our head coach, I am wondering where recruiting is headed.

In honesty I was done, on the first fumble. Why would you take our two most likely to fumble the ball and run that play, with Ameer not carrying the ball. Idiotic it seemed to me. We dug a hole, and just kept digging it deeper.

I have said since day one, Bo needs help, if he would take on good assistants that could take the load off of him, I could live with another year. But I really do not think he would.

I watched the run onto the field today. I never saw a smile from Bo, more like the dread of another game facial expression. I think the fun of it is gone for him. More of job than it should be.
He never smiles when he's run onto the field. Not once. It's who he is.

Yeah I think the no smile part is a bit of a stretch.

But here we sit, in year six, and fundamental problems have not been fixed. And, according to many, time has been spent on trying to fix them. That's not good.

Ultimately, Nebraska has grown to the program that produces mentally weak players. They melt in the spotlight, fumble five times to Michigan st, kick the ball out of bounds with a lead in the CCG, give up 30 straight to UCLA, get 70 hung on them when they're favored, not show up when they're a top five team to a Texas team with a losing record.......shall I keep going?

Even our transcendent talents grow up to be pariahs of the nfl.

Drain the swamp. Fix the program.

Who's? Because that kinda matters.

I watched the SC/Stanford game, and thought, no matter who wins, the other team played well. I really want that again. Losses are tough, but knowing you are improving, gaining knowledge, both players and staff, they are acceptable. I just do not feel that is part of this program.

I do not see things magically changing next year. We have all hoped it would by now. 6 years now, I my attitude has changed. A loss used to just kill me, carried it the whole week, now, Gawd I hate saying it, but I expect us to screw up and lose. In some respects I guess it makes it easier for me. Getting old, well very old, and I notice that the games are not as important, win or lose. Sad that happens, or has happened, but the pride, the respect for the program is not there. We are becoming a joke on the National scene. I had to listen to my SC boss about how they were back, just a small stumble. Do I think we will get back? I have no answer.

Are things going to magically change next year? No, but I actually see someone in Randy Gregory who will actually will call his teammates out and admonish them to give more. It's been awhile since that's existed.

What I don't see is a coaching staff capable to mature, adapt and grow anymore. Any change Bo makes is a desperate grasp to continue to be a head coach.

So we have leaders on the team, and none on the other side of the whistle.

Its easily fixable.

Damn, you are def. giving Hunter94 a run for his money as the most negative poster on this board the last couple of weeks. Never thought Id see the day, that is quite a feat. Congratulations!
