Jacobson, STOP SHOOTING

Also McVeigh. Not sure how he gets so much playing time. Supposedly a knock down shooter but sure seems to miss wide open 3's a lot and is a liability defensively because he's so slow footed, we should have recruited Mike Daum from Kimbal a lot harder. I think he'd be much more effective than Jack. Also I get pretty frustrated how often Jacobson gets the switch and has a 6'2" guy posted up on the block and we never throw it down to him. He can score if he could ever get the ball inside the 3 point line.

Let see - Besides the 1 Sr, we have 4 So with playing experience (which includes McVeigh). The rest are Fr. or transfers. Jack also shot very well before this tournament. Different court. Dayton also had 2 shooters who shot over 40% on 3s and struggled to shoot 20% against us. With Jack being a So., I expect these kind of games once in a while. Watson is the same. There is no reason to get overly worried. But I agree that Jacobson needs to concentrate on rebounding & not shoot very many 3s.

I was at the game vs. UCLA on Friday with a bunch of UCLA fans in my family. Told them that Jacobson was the weakest link on our offense. He proved me right, and my family confirmed it. Almost committed as many fouls as he had points. One of them saw Isaiah Roby come in at the end and asked why he wasn't playing as a starter, as he had been one of the best bench players in the first half then wasn't played in the second half until garbage time. Seniority needs to be considered less and skill needs to be considered more when picking starters.

I got on TV so not everything was bad

Ha! I agree with you. Three point shooting is not his strong suit. But Miles wants him out on the perimeter more so I guess he's trying.
