Jeff Jamrog is putting away the head coach’s whistle to come back home.
Speculation gave way to the official news Wednesday that Jamrog is leaving his job as Minnesota State-Mankato football coach to fill an administrative role within the Husker athletic department.

“Jeff is an alumnus, former player and coach at the University of Nebraska, and I certainly understand the unique affinity that he had for Cornhusker football and we wish him well as he continues his career there,” Minnesota State athletic director Kevin Buisman said.

Interesting. Unless he wanted to get into the administrative side of the athletic department this is probably a step down for him. If I wanted to remain in coaching I wouldn't come back for just any position at NU just because it's NU.

HERETIC!!! INFIDEL!!!! BLASPHEMER!!!!

Is he really in an administrative role? I mean come on, I see him all the time on tv, standing on the sideline yelling into a headset. He likes being on the tunnel walk too.

He' president of football operations. He reserves hotels, gets plains and busses scheduled, as far as being on tv and the tunnel walk all the time, well, he's Bo's bodyguard too. Well maybe not Bo's, but rather Bo's attacker's bodyguard. :box

Plains are quite busy. Home to such active animals as prairie dogs, coyotes and other varmints. Gotta budget time for all that roaming and the wind is constantly booking time to go whistling.
