Jared Crick - returning for his senior year

Husker defensive tackle Jared Crick confirmed Tuesday that he plans to return for his senior season.
"I am staying at the University of Nebraska to finish my degree and complete my final season of eligibility on the football field," Crick said in a statement. "Playing at Nebraska for Coach Pelini is a great opportunity, and I am looking forward to continuing that in 2011. Hopefully, I will have the chance to play at the professional level in the future, but my focus right now is on the start of the semester and beginning winter conditioning next week."

i fully expect him to at least maintain if not improve his stock...i just hope nothing evil comes from it....and of course he's gonna miss out on a crap ton of money, but a guy like crick has higher moral standards than i do so thats a bit of a moot point.

He will have a chance of breaking Trev Alberts career sack record(29.5). IIRC Jared Crick has 19 career sacks.

I'm glad to hear that he is coming back. IMHO, I think another season playing and refining his game will benefit him immensely should the opportunity to play in the NFL present itself at the conclusion of next season. Hope he progresses well in the off-season and remains healthy throughout the coming year.
