When I got mine made, I purchased a blank jersey from Huskers Authentic and had them send it down to the actual folks who do stitching for the team in KC. Ended up costing around $250, but it's real and looks VERY cool.

Whatever you do, do not get one from the Huskers website. I purchased one and it is terrible, absolutely terrible. I had to send it back to them to fix it and it still sucks. They used just the regular jersey that they put the screen numbers on, so when they stitched the numbers on it hangs weird and looks pathetic!!!

That's where I got the blank one and it's fantastic. Given, it was one of the last ones they had so maybe I just got lucky and got one of the few "legit" ones left.

After the K-State game, my fiancee and myself went to a bar and I saw a guy wearing a customized throwback authentic jersey. I approached him and asked where he got it from and he told me that he kept calling Husker Authentic and bugged them about making him one. It looked pretty good and had his last name on the back. I just sent Husker Authentic an e-mail asking them if they could do something like that for me and I'm willing to pay some good hard earned cash for a customize husker jersey with the stitched on numbers and name.

When I went to the Oak View Mall today waiting to see Suh I saw a guy with a Suh jersey that the numbers and his last name stitched on and asked him where he got that jersey at and he told me Ebay. I've checked ebay when I got home with no luck.

Anybody who has a stitched customized jersey could you please post pictures and the place where you got the jersey at. I'm curious to see what onthefield.com jersey is and how the quality is.

onthefield.com, They arrived yesterday and I was told that 1 of the jerseys was not there. I received 2 of the 3. Also the jerseys were just wadded into the package. I have not seen them yet but from what I was told they will not be getting any more of my business. I am waiting for my brother to email me some picturs of them.

Ill get some pics of mine--its the real deal Holyfield. I got it about 3 years ago, I think, at the husker store thats at Oakview. I think its closed now? The one with the big glass storefront? Havent been there in awhile. Somewhere in the 150-200 neighborhood, cant really remember.

A couple details the real ones should have...

-Double walled smooth panels. Where my Winning tradition patch is, if you look on the inside, you cannot see stitching, outline, anything. the jersey is HEAVY, like a hoody.

-Double walled spandex stretch panels on either side, running from the armpit to the bottom of the jersey, ~4 inches wide. Super stretchy, snap back.

-The entire Winning Tradition patch, letters, backgrounds, everything-- except for the white background in fabric center circle-- is threaded embroidery. The sucker is THICK.

-The numbers fabric is stout. Feels like bending carboard. Best thing to compare it to is the outside layer of a Carhart coat. Very durable type stuff.

Ive had mine altered, adding elastic in the sleeves to negate the to-the-elbows look it had on me before. After several years and a half dozen or so washings, the white stripes (which are like a rubber applique) have even yellowed like some noticed on the teams jerseys this year as the season progressed.

Ill see if I can get some good shots of the stitching and stuff.

I spoke a little to soon. I called today and talked to my mom and she said the packaging was all wrinkled and she was afraid the Jerseys would be. She opened the packeage and hung them on a hanger and she said they look really good. I appologise for any misstatement about the condition of the Jerseys but the fact that I paid for one and it never showed up when they said the entire order was shipped the same day has me a little worried. The one that is missing was a throw back hand stiched Athletics Jersey. It was right at 100.00 for it. I did send them an email asking for an update and will see what their response is. So I retract the NO MORE BUSINESS statement until I hear from them on the 3rd product.

As soon as I sent the last message I received a response from onthefield.com and they said the Jersey will be delivered on the 10th. They gave me the tracking number. I sent them an email thanking them for their timely responnse. I should not have jumped to conclusions so fast. My family back home says they are of great quality so I will blame this on the terrible communications here in Afghanistan.

So I will probably do business with them again. I still need one more Jersey to finish off my favorite teams
