Jim Harbaugh might be available soon

Clearly Harbaugh is a great HC. But from what I have read, he is a d!(k to the front office people. I think the Huskers experienced that once before and would rather not go down that path again.

If I'm wrong about him, and Pelini is no longer our coach, then absolutely I would take him as a HC

If we're talking about coaching possibilties already, and nothing gets better and the same movie plays again, prepare yourselves for the Scott Frost talk to get a little hotter. I know I was one who laughed at the notion last year cuz he was a guy who didnt even have a full year as a coordinator, but as time passes and he becomes more experienced at such a position, and seeing if Chip continues to have some success in the NFL, that seriously might be the tree we wanna bark up.

IF.

He certainly had a good game plan for MSU. That was a pretty impressive 2nd half after looking average in the first.

Frost's stock is definitely rising. Not a fan of Harbaugh's pants.

At this point I mostly hope Bo succeeds this season and gets to stay.

I hope the second as well.

What I was awed by was how Oregon went from getting their a$$ stomped on both sides of the ball to doint the stomping on both sides and runnin Mich St completely off the west coast in a matter of a few plays. That's coaching. That's a mentality.

Jim is a great coach but does better at the college level. His personality is he likes to be the most important person in the room. In the pros he works with players that pretty much are multi-millionaires and run small businesses so to speak, so they clash.

I don't think he would come to Michigan. David Brandon is a micro-manager boss who will watch film with you. Jim turned David down once.

That's why I think Jim is so successful. He's a FOOTBALL COACH.

I've had this theory a while now, and I know I've shared it on the board at some point. Sometimes I think that's what our current problem is. That Bo is maybe too much of a friend and not enough of a coach. Guys always talked about Osborne and his assistents being that father figure. Well, how many of you had fathers that never showed that tough love?

I'm helpin coach my sons flag team. He's 6. His cousins are 6 and 7 on the same team. Their dad is the coach. We all hang out all the time. But I had nice sit down with my son after thier first practice to make it known that once we're on the field, I'm not your dad anymore. I'm not your friend. I'm your coach. So you have to realize that I'm going to talk to you like a football player and so on and so on. And blessed me for having an intelligent son, he understands. As well as his cousins, for they got the same talk from their dad.

I know we see Bo chew a$$ and such. But the stories of fun and joking and so on, might have this effect to create so much less of a business-like attitude. If my choice of words are going down a bad road here, someone correct me. I just hope I'm getting my idea across correctly. I know a little fun here and there is needed, but has Bo overdone it over the years? Has it created a culture of "fun" and not "football"? Cuz these players would stand so adamently by his side regardless.

That some guys got bitchy about having some practices in Baltimore with the Ravens says a lot, freaking prima donnas.

Those of you who want Frost but hate religion. May want to think twice. Unless you want to win of course you can put the hate on the back burner

Frost had a nice write up and video in an FCA devotional online a couple weeks back
