Jim Leavitt

Husker stuck at kstate

Four-Star Recruit
Hey Husker fans I have some info. on why i don't think we will get Jim Leavitt for those of you who want him. I am a current student at kstate. I know what your thinking, why kstate? Trust me i am the biggest kstate hater out there, i can't stand any athletics team at kstate. I cheer for them to lose. NO LIE!! I am from kansas so its cheaper for me to go to kstate. Anyways... on Jim Leavitt

I am an art major (graphic design) and i am in a class with the a teacher who designed the kstate powercat logo. He was also in the running to design south florida's new bull logo. He didn't do it but he did do one that leavitt wears on his shirts that is personal to him (something with the leavitt vizer(sp)). Well, my teacher said that he knows leavitt very well and he has asked him if he is going to leave south florida and come back to kstate where he started. He said he loves the university of south flordia and this is a team and staff that he started/created and its a huge part of why he won't be leaving, but kstate would be his second choice.

Now those aren't exact words, but basically he feels obligated to stay there because he created it. I don't think money matters to him. The university is his.

Take it for what you will... GO HUSKERS!!

When you hear stuff about him helping put up the goal posts and the coaches parking cars alongside the field so they could practice late, I'd also be very surprised if he left.

Yea Im a student at usf and theres no way Leavitt leaves USF for anywhere. The guy is originally from the Tampa area and this is his team, his program, and they are a pretty good 11 year old program.

I don't see him leaving either since it is the program he founded. I love the Tampa area since we took our honeymoon there. The environment would have to play a factor as well.

There are limitations to when and how much college kids can practice. I am not saying it isn't true but I literally would be shocked if they had assisants that would pull their cars up so they could practice late.

Then he's lying to the national media? I'll take his word on it.

While there are limitations, those go mostly to the number of hours. And remember, once Daylight Savings Time (may it burn in hell) ends, "dark" arrives around 5:00 p.m. Most teams practice after 5:00 p.m., so it doesn't sound at all inaccurate.
