Since it sounds like Ohio State will not get hit that hard by the NCAA. Whats to stop them from hiring Jim Tressel back after this season?

 
Because the reason they might not get hit hard is they already cleaned him out and if they bring him back it might open things back up?

I suppose thats possible. Remember about 20 years ago Oklahoma and Georgia sued the NCAA over tv rights and won. Not long after that both schools were on probation from the NCAA.

 
redblooded is right. Ohio State has taken great pains to pin all blame on Tressel. If they even hint they're going to hire him back, the NCAA will slap them with a Show Cause ruling and put the kibosh on it.

 
He was going to retire in 2 years anyways. but yes, his firing is helping our cause. And no matter that things aren't as bad as people made it, he still admitted the 10.1
