In 2001, CU finished the season as the 8th best in the rushing department rushing for 228.5 yards per game. Ochs who started 7 of their games or just over half averaged 174 yards per game passing. When was the last time NU finished in the top 10 in rushing? When was the last time we averaged for a season more yards running than passing per game? In 2001, CU was for the most part a smash mouth running football team. Where in the heck do you get that Clownahan and the 01' CU playbook are anywhere close to being the same? Clownahan's playbook was all about finesse. CU was all about smash mouth running. CU ran like what all of about 3 plays against us in 2001. Clownahan run several every game.

It could feature the same plays but have execution differences not to mention play calling differences. Just saying.

The same guy (Watson) is calling the plays. CU set up the pass with the run. I don't believe Clownahan's book worked quite that way. Plus, the 2001 CU playbook had a fullback involved. How many plays did we run against TT or anyone for that matter with a fullback? In 2001, many thought CU's fullback was the best fullback in the country. Clownahan's playbook for 99% of the plays doesn't even use one.
