I hate to say this but I told family members, friends, and co workers that Joe probably wouldn't live much longer since he was fired at Penn State. Coaching at Penn State was his life and now that was taken away why live any longer?

Hopefully his life is still celebrated when he passes, but with all of the circumstances at Penn St. I don't think he will be celebrated quite as much on a national level.... Prayers to the Paterno family....

 
Some folks on twitter were saying that he was "near death". He is in the hospital in serious condition after complications arose from his chemotherapy for cancer.

 
Jay Paterno just tweeted Joe is continuimg to fight. Debunked rumor.

Edit - Scott Paterno just tweeted the samething, CBS sports is wrong.

Wish I would have gotten a screen capture of that cbssports.com page. It was up for about 15 minutes of so.
