Coach Blake cheated to get recruits at both North Carolina and Oklahoma

His exploits in that arena are legendary

He was one of the most sought after assistant coaches in the US at one time

NU has rarely had top 10 or even top 20 recruiting classes- expecially of late

Yet when Blake is here- somehow we land in the top 5?

Does anyone feel Coach Blake cheated while he was here at NU?

Im a bit on the fence about cheating

With so much $$$ at risk

It's so easy for a disgruntled player, parent or ex coach to rat out the University- or blackmail them

It would seem like a LOT more cheating would come out

The SEC certainly has been dirty in the past and there is plenty of smoke blowing from that direction, but how do these guys get away with it for so long without it blowing up in their faces?

He gave the compliance department fits and he knew how to toe the line.

In speaking to some of the present coaching staff

They mentioned more than once that they inherited a number of "turds" who had been told what they wanted to hear by the previous coaching staff

Not sure if that is all Coach Blake used to lure kids in or was it more than that?

Talked to Phillip Dillards HS Head Coach this year- said Blake just told the kid everything he wanted to hear- said Dillard was phenomenal athlete- but he wouldnt have recommended him to ANY college coach- nightmare

Why Oregon State? There's never been a hint of a cheating scandal there and Coach Riley is known as one of the good guys in college athletics.

Yes. but Jim Tressel was also widely perceived as the 2nd coming of Jesus. Then it came out how much of a total prick he actually was. It's happening more and more. The need to win big and win now is bringing out the worst in folks.
