Jordan Larson Statue at Devaney

I'm really surprised there isn't a statue of Terry Pettit yet. 

There's no Jordan Larson without Terry Pettit. After taking over the job in 1976, Pettit toured this state, training high school teachers to coach volleyball. His hard work took years to pay off, but now Nebraska is one of the hotbeds in recruiting, and has led to the growth of not only UNL, but Creighton, UNK, Kansas, KSU, Iowa State, Midland, the Dakota schools, etc. Girls from C-1 go to college D1 programs every year. That's all built off Pettit's sweat.

Of course Larson deserves a statue. But so does Coach Pettit.

This surprises me too. Petit should probably get one first, and then Cook once he retires.

It makes me wonder if he's pushed back on it. It's one thing having a court named for you. Statues seem a bit "more," you know?

I wonder where we could find some inspiration to make it work???
