Jordan Stevenson to Play on Saturday

This makes no sense to me. Burn a kid's redshirt in the 6th game to do kick returns and "maybe some running back duties"?
It makes perfect sense. This staff knows that this next game is a must win.
No, it makes zero sense. He came in out of shape, even he admitted that. He has been here less time than the rest of the RB's, so he probably still isn't familiar with the schemes.
And finally, my favorite point, we can't distribute the ball enough as it is. Why are we adding another Back to the stable when we can't figure out if we want Wilbon, Newby, Cross or Ozigbo? Hell half the runs are gonna go to Armstrong and Janovich so there are like what, 6 remaining carries a game for Backs?
If Riley thinks using him gives him a better chance to win then so be it.

I feel like NCAA 06' ps2 where I promised a recruit some PT against a rival school. Anyways....

We are going about the approach wrong with Jano. He got yards because of the belly option handoffs. I am not a fan of him lining up as a RB. Keep the D honest with some handoffs to him when in I form up the middle. Ozigbo and co. are just fine back there.

"Burning a redshirt" is a lot different with 7 games left in the season, rather than like 3 or 4. If Stevenson is ready to play, and he can be a difference-maker out there, put him out there and give him a chance.

Wasn't there rumors going around he was very upset at getting redshirted?
I seriously doubt if that's true. He admitted himself he was out of shape. If he was going to be so upset that he was redshirted, then he should have come in in better shape.

This is what concerns me the most. The rumor a couple days ago was that Stevenson went to the coaches and said "Play me this weekend or I'm transferring". I assumed it was BS since transferring again.....now, would be really dumb for him.

But, if there is any truth to that and that he is going to play Saturday, are the Lunatics running the Asylum.

If Stevenson is in shape, understands the offense, and is prepared to outperform what we have watched Ozigbo do then fine. I just can't fathom that being true.
