JUCO DB Armando Murillo

hello, florida, alabama, & oregon st have recently offered, therefore it is starting to get tougher to garner his commentment

p.s. he is from tampa, so the fl offer has to be a little tempting, right?

according to the owh, murillo & his coach said that he (murillo) will probably only take one more visit, & that visit should be to az st sometime next month, & then his coach said this about murillo:

"Armando's better than Zack (Bowman, who John O'Mera coached at NM Military Inst.)," (John) O'Mera (now at E Az CC) said. "Just based on pure playing ability, Armando is way ahead of him (Bowman)" (quote taken from a story written by Mitch Sherman, who is a Staff Writer of the Omaha World-Herald)(10/04/06).

If you get a chacnce read the whole article from OWH..

:yeah

He sounds like he is a stud CB. Hopefully he saw enough this past weekend to keep that impression fresh in his mind.

I dont feel real good about this. I think the longer it gos the worst are chances are. I was hoping he would commit Saturday.

His coach said in the OWH article that he thinks he will commit to NU. So we have to keep our hopes high based on that. We appear to be in the driver's seat for the time-being.

Man I hope we get him. We need depth in our secondary in the worst way.

Depth? Hell we need another Corner Period. If they have size and speed we can teach the rest. Who ever it is isn't going to do a whole lot worse.

I think he has a visit or two left before he makes his decision. Not sure if he visited ASU yet, I think he is going to visit West Virginia also. He is a december grad.

I am excited about this, but I hope he can play. Bowman was a 5 star and didn't start playing great til the end of the year, and Andre Jones was a 5 star too, and hasn't done anything at all. Not trying to be a downer, but this guy needs to show up and play well.

Hopefully he can mature and learn faster than Bowman and Jones did/have. Our secondary is actually looking like it could be the strength of our defense next year, if our players keep improving.
