JUCO S Ashley Palmer

GJ, but that's where the can of worms is opened.

According to NCAA standards, Palmer was qualified which means his LOI couldn't be resent. He would become almost property of Nebraska for the next year regardless of whether he enrolled or not.

The only way out of that is if Nebraska releases him from this, then he would be able to go wherever he wants.

However, I hope Nebraska dictates where Palmer goes. Willingham went after Brandon Johnson as well last night and tried to get him to decommit. Basically, BC should shove it to Ty, even if it is at the expense of Ashlee.

Ashlee could still find a university with quarters instead of semesters and enroll, but make sure it isn't to that snake Ty Willingham.

Probably won't be done because anything Nebraska does that may hinder Ashlee from going to UDub will be used against him in recruiting from these same jerkoffs.

Just seems VERY ODD...What, did Palmer just wake up this morning and call UW and say i am coming to yah? How long has UW been pestering him for him to ON THE DAY OF to decommit?....Hell Callahan, just let the dude go...

I've got a quick solution to the problem -

Get Ty on the phone and tell him to schedule Big Red for 2008/2009.

Let's kick UW's a$$ on the field...

this just shows how dirty recruiting has gotten...its ridiculous that you can't even trust a written document anymore. :steam ...oh well i guess he isn't wanted here anymore anyway... :box

Wasn't there a "Dead Period"? Can you say recruiting violations. And here we all thought that Neuheisel wasn't the coach at UW anymore. :woo

Who knows this is true or not? According to another board, Washington recruiters told him they knew he wouldn't qualify at NU, but he could at Washington. And he would be able to participate in spring ball at Washington. But he would have to sign now to get a spot. If this is true, who knows what was going on in this kid's mind.

Yah..looking at other boards (if that is allowed when a member of HuskerBoard... )....This situation sounds like it could blow up....If certain so called rumors are true, Washington could have been a naughtyyyyyy university according to the NCAA...

Could this be an exception?? JUCO's that sign early but do not graduate and do not enroll at midterm are not bound by their LOI. Is this possible?

Skippy Neuheisel must have left his recruiting "How-To" book under a stack of NCAA tournament sheets and Ty's staff thought they hit the mother load.

Just so I have this straight:

Because UW is on the quarter system, he can enroll and be in classes by the time spring ball rolls around.

However, at Nebraska, he's unable to do so because classes have already started?

Is that right?

And he can still attend CC until the fall, even if he's signed a LOI to NU, correct?

Is this all about playing in spring ball?

Thats where the trouble comes.

By NCAA standards, he was qualified thanks to the 12 day grace period. According to NU policy, he wasn't thanks to our 5 day grace period.

Basically, this is an effin mess.
