Jumbo-tron

I forget the name of the track and field NE of the stadium. Old age setting in, anyway, for those of us who don't have tickets for the Texas game. I was wondering if they show the game on the Jumbo-tron there? I just might make the drive up from Manhattan just to be a part of the crazy atmosphere and watch it on the screen.

Anyone else have plans to do the same? It might make for a great Husker Board party!! :corndance :koolaid2:

Mods if this is in the wrong spot please move chuckleshuffle

That's a good idea because I most likely will not have the money for the tickets to the game and that'd be alot of fun to hear the roar of the crowd while watching it on the screen and then the after party from beating Texas :)

Kinda the same line of thinking as me. Wouldn't get to see it live but the tension would mount after the roar of the crowd and the time delay to the screen. It could be epic. :ahhhhhhhh

I told the guys I was going with that we should get a hotel for Saturday nite, even though it's only a 3 hour drive to one of their own houses after the game, which we have made plenty of times. My thinking is, after we win, it will be so crazy around there(because of jumbotron viewers, etc!!) we may not get out for a few hours anyway. I am taking my 5 yr old son so after tailgating, no more drinks rest of the night, ie no bar celebration...I think it's going to be nuts in Lincoln on 10-16-10 simply because people will want to be around the stadium... Go, go and fill the track and let's put 120,000+ around memorial!!

BTW I have been telling my son (and myself) that N v Texass might be in the top 3 biggest games ever in memorial. If both teams are undefeated and all the media hype and hatetred are there, do u think it could be the biggest game there ever? (considering the B12 exit, :01, close calls in other texass games, etc.)

I've been following Husker football since 1991, and few games come to mind being as big as this one at Memorial Stadium. I'm sure there are some matches against Oklahoma before then that the older generation of Husker fans will see being equally as big. The 2001 game vs. OU was pretty hyped up (was either a 1 vs 2 or 2 vs 3??), but I don't think nearly as heated as it is with Texas right now.

I am about 90% sure that they do show it on the Jumbo Tron

I remember seeing at least one game on it last year

I cant confirm anything but it would surprise me that they wouldnt play the game on the jumbotron at the weir track. I think they may even play games that are going on before then too.

the atmosphere for the texas game is gonna be something people will prob remember for the rest of their lives, then we win that will be something epic.

Even if they don't show it at the track, there's a nice spot between Love Library and CBA that you could set up a lawn chair and watch the North Stadium Jumbo-tron. It would show the plays both live as they happen and then an instant replay.

I will be watching it on HDTV. Fortunately, the Buckeyes will be in Madison, so I can watch both on TV instead of missing the Huskers while in Ohio Stadium.

If you guys play as poorly as you did last time you were in Madison, you are in for a bad night.
