Just Asking: Holding things back offensively?

Just asking: Did Nebraska hold things back offensively in the first three games?

“You end up holding things back just because you don’t get to them on the call sheet because they weren’t necessary for that game. So, yes,” Watson said. “Was it by intention? No. Because we’re going to do whatever it takes to win football game.”

Watson said Pelini has shown full trust in him so far this season in making offensive decisions.

“Bo doesn’t say a word. He’s just reassuring,” Watson said of the headset communication when NU has the ball. “He’s awesome. Bo’s got my back.”

I really do think that a lot of stuff is waiting in the wings...because new ideas pop up all the time! New schemes come to mind when film is watched.

Match ups between lines, secondaries and receivers......when we see a weakness, no problem exploiting it!

Of course they were holding things back!

When you have teams on the schedule like Missouri and Oklahoma, you don't show all your cards so these teams can gameplan against you.

Every game is a chessmatch, and you never see a team's A game against a lesser opponent.

Also, Watson's Carlfriend's back.

I don't know that the Cornhuskers would be holding anything back, but we might have a bigger bag of tricks to unleash on VT and Missouri and Texas Tech. I hope Nebraska is having some intense practices this week. Nebraska needs to have spent their last 2 weeks like a caged animal. foaming at the mouth.

If a halfback option pass, back to Joe for a touchdown, is holding things back...I can't wait until we let it rip.

My thoughts exactly. Why show all your cards against New Mexico State?
