Just because it's the offseason

I said it a few times last year, that I did not think Taylor was 100% last year. Physically or mentally, he was not 100&. Compare his RSF year to his Junior year. It doesn't take too long to realize it. That run in the Wisky II game, was the only run I have seen all year last year, where he was himself again.

I was in the band in 2010 and got to go to this game. There were KSU fans spraying some of us with piss from a Super Soaker and they threw nacho cheese all over our trailer and buses after the game.
Damn, that's ugly. Not the nacho cheese trick?

Great game though. I was there too. Lots of mildcat fans (young ones mostly), drunk, depressed and pissing all over the place in the parking lots after the game. Sorry I can't provide photographic evidence. But it happened.
Oh, I believe you. They were pretty despondent and drunk after the game. Not a good combination.

I think he was healthy, but from a mental standpoint, I'm bettin he was still in self-protection mode as well. He knows there's nothing behind him and so do the coaches. Though he did run with some additional purpose that 2011, I'm bettin it was all mental.

So with the depth we have at QB now, do you think that this changes?

Most definitely. He has stated this already too. I think a lot of it also probably had to do, with us not really having a backup, except for RKIII. He would be fine IMO, but our system doesn't fit his style. This year, we at least have a QB where we won't have to change to fit him, which will help us and Martinez.

Accountability, I don't believe he was 100% physically, until towards the end of the season. I don't remember which game it was, but there was a run that I remember him limping going into the endzone. The last 10 yards you could see him slow down. Between that, and the mental aspect of it, I strongly believe he did not play to his full potential.

This year, I hope we see the real Martinez. I think we will too.

As a senior, I think so.

He appeared plenty healthy up until the Michigan game. Right before half he got taken down a bit awkward and appeared to slightly tweak that ankle on the fumble play. Next week we played at Michigan St and it was his 35 yard td run on the fake toss on which he appeared to be limpin a smidge. But the rest of the year, I didnt see anything that suggested he was really battling anything. Now 2011 was different. It was apparent, and, as it turned out, he was battling an ankle and turf toe.

Also, now that I recall, his ankle tweaking may have also had a huge impact on second-half playcalling against Michigan. A combination of those two things and Beck pretty much packed it in at half.
