To me, the Plus1 is much better since the Upvote seems kind of unsure. I’m never quite sure if the Thanks is a sarcastic thanks so you don’t want those. Plus1 is the best.

Yeah, it's really goofy since the last board software update. I think having just the +1 without all the other options was fine, and much simpler.

Also, the Haha is nice when you make a subtle joke then you know someone got it. When you make an obviously humorous post a Haha is a letdown. You want the Plus1 so you can think “Yes, I am funny, and great!”

Upvote and +1 are the same thing.  I could disable the Upvote if it is causing confusion.  Both of them plus Thanks add one rep point to your total.  So from that perspective they all function the same.  Sad and Confused don't have any affect on your Reputation Points.
