I would also keep him off my mural, and recognize that he was a mixed bag of strengths and struggles who helped many and significantly harmed at least one. Regardless, none of that, good or bad, is material to his status as an icon for the fight of racial equality.

I didn't claim you said these words, nor did I attribute them to you. This is my own explanation of a sentiment that I think we agree on, but I went and edited it to be more clear. While hailing him as some type of hero deserving of statues and murals is, in my opinion, unnecessary and silly, and also predictable, delegating him to nothing more than a piece of s#!t is quite hyperbolic.

If it makes sense to you to define someone solely based off the worst thing (or best thing) they've ever done, more power to you. It doesn't make sense to me, which is why I offered my perspective and some additional info. I've lived with and shared meals with and traveled with people who mourned George Floyd personally as a significant source of good in and around their lives

I guess this context involved Kyle Rittenhouse, who no doubt was a mixed bag to the people who loved him and those who continue to exploit him. You and I would keep both Floyd and Kyle off our murals, but people on each side have elevated them to icons. I don't think George Floyd risked or accomplished anything to achieve racial equity: I think he was simply the last straw for a long string of racist police abuse and unaccountability, and the only hero was the person who kept his cell phone trained on the scene for the full 9 minutes. Anyone know his or her name?

Yep….Floyd isn’t a hero. He’s just an example of what so many other people have felt. 
 

Im sure the person with the phone probably does not want their name public.

It's one tax that I really don't agree with.  I know of companies in the past that almost went out of business because the owner dies and passes it to the next generation.  The next generation has worked in the company for years and helped build it...and will continue working in the company.

Now, at least there is a fairly high exemption right now....but that can go away instantly with a simple vote of the government.

I’ve never, and most likely will never receive an inheritance that is going to be affected by this.  I don’t care either way.

But isn’t it essentially a gift tax?  Your parents owned it, not you.  You didn’t buy it from them.

So, and this is not exactly the same, but you brought up the "gift tax", well a few years back I helped this Nigerian Prince, long story short he was kidnapped and held hostage, lucky for him he was able to find my old email address HugeDong6969@aol.com and after a few emails I knew I could help him.

Anywho, I sent him like 10K and well, I have not got my huge gift of Nigerian Naira's yet BUT I think it is going to be here soon.  So I have been looking up some gift tax information, just so I can be covered.
