I really expected that in rewatching the game, I would see things to give me some hope for the line and realize they weren't as gawd-awful as I thought while watching the game live - kinda like what happened last week. However, in what I've seen so far, they are every bit as bad as they looked last night. They don't appear to be trying to establish anything, they just kinda stand up and try to get in the way of their guy. Does anyone know, are they still trying to do a zone blocking scheme and just not holding them very long, or are they trying to pancake guys but are just really, really.... really bad at it?
I know they are young, but they do have some experience with Caputo, Sirles and Yoshi. Even the tight end blocking - which is experienced - is pretty unimpressive thus far and last I knew the TEs are being coached blocking by the oline coaches.
