Sounds like this kid has a leg and has kicked field goals over 50 yards. We need this going forward. It may also make Congdon work harder!

 
Now maybe we can get it to the end zone every time we kick off and kick field goals beyong 40 yards.

Maybe congdon will get better too!

If Congdon makes everything inside of 45, I am happy. Not many kickers can make anything beyond that with much consistency. If the new guy can convert some of the stalled drives into 3 points, then that is awesome. Consequently, the Huskers have been pretty much money when going for it on 4th down this season.

What is this in the Nebraska Press Guide that says Congdon kicked a 53-yarder in HC and also kicked 85% of his kickoffs in the endzone? Yeah right!!! :dunno

he did. but you have to remember, as someone else pointed out earlier, they dont use kicking tees in college anymore. that affects most kickers accuracy and distance.
