K-State Analysis Thread

Good news is poor kick coverage is a bit of an anomaly. Doesn't happen often. And only one went to midfield, which is good. Room to improve, but panic button is safely beneath the glass.

On the field, is Taylor's speed deceiving. On all his long runs tonight it seemed like the defenders were taking horrible angles, and it's been happening all year. Just a thought. But he is so Crouch like, one little crease and it's good night. oLINE baby, oline.

I really appreciated our first scoring drive. We were methodical enough. Taylor looked patient most of the night and took what was given. The big plays came but we executed through the rest fairly well and penalties weren't an issue. (Still think it was ridiculous for people to try to make a big deal out of how loud the crowd would be after we wiped out washington)

I think the defenders take bad angles because they don't think he's that fast. I think only Robinson can compare to what Martinez does off the line.

I wonder what the kitties must have felt like when they spend all that time getting screamed at during the half about putting a man on Taylor, and the first thing he does is pop yet another long one for a touchdown.

People are worried about our rush d? Good lord, look at KSUcks.

Martinez and David will only get even better, they are obviously coachable players to the max..Cody Green still looks pedestrian, honestly, i would rather see Lee get some reps.

How easily they got their dinky passes off... that was a little unsettling. It was just nice of them to try to run occasionally (and fail). There just wasn't an effective answer for passes under 10 yards. I think they could have kept doing that all night, and I have no idea why they kept calling their runfails. But, okay. That's fine. Keep it on the ground, you couldn't even get 5 yards on the ground against the 2nd team defense.

Where's the "we don't have a chance in Manhattan" guy? I called it ridiculous then and it still is. KState NEVER had the talent to stay with Nebraska.

They threw short because that's what we were giving them.

It's all...a part of the plan.

Martinez against KSU: 241 rushing yards

Lee against FAU, ASU, VT, ULL, MU, TT, ISU, BU, OU, KU, KSU and CU: 171 rushing yards

Not trying to pile on... I like Lee. But the difference is remarkable.
