Kansas/Tim Beck

Scratchtown

All-Conference
Is he a candidate? Who does Kansas hire? Beck was the passing game coordinator or offensive coordinator for that KU team that finished 12-1. Do they look at Beck?

I'd be stunned if they didn't. And that job is toxic right now for the record. Beck shouldn't take it.

What has Beck done to make Kansas think that he would be a solid HC candidate?

Not that Kansas makes great decisions or has a lot of options, but still...

Beck coached at Kansas from 2005-2007. In 2007 he part of the staff that led the Jayhawks to a 12-1 record and final #7 AP ranking.

I'd be shocked if they don't at least take a look at him, too.

It may be a toxic situation but some coach is going to take the gig. And based off what they paid Charlie to leave, you might as well take the money and give it a shot. Funny thing about coaching, you always find a home somewhere.

I saw a couple sight mention Colorado State coach Jim McElwain. I thought to myself, "Is that a step up?" I know KU is in the Big 12, but is their program in better shape than CSU that it would be worth taking the job? I think not

They should just go without a coach for a while. Catch up on debt, let the expectations return to normal, stop distracting fans from their basketball program...

I would be shocked if they didn't come after Beck and I personally hope he doesn't leave.

I also think Beck should not take the job. It is a career killer.

I teach with a guy whose son plays for the Huskers and he said that the locker room is swirling with rumors that Beck is definitely a candidate. I hope things get smoothed out before Saturday. We don't need these kinds of distractions right now.
