His bio from this past fall comments that he sat out 2011 with a medical redshirt. It must not have counted as a year on his clock. But, he played 4 years from 2012-2015, unless they granted him another year of eligibility because he played so little for NU in 2015.

Don't you only get a medical redshirt if you have already used your redshirt? I guess he could claim he was "injured" in 15 to try to get another year?
