Keller at Fan Day

I saw some coverage of Fan Day tonight on the local Omaha news. I would think that Sam Keller would be very impressed and maybe in awe of the fan support of the Husker football program. Sure he saw some of it last year, but this year he's actually a member of the team and getting it first hand. I can't imagine ASU has the same fan support.

He signed for a good 30 minutes + after fan day was over despite the staffers telling him it was time to go. For that matter so did a lot of guys including ALL of the receivers and QB's. Barry Turner stood out and seemed excited to sign for people. That was refreshing.

Other observations: Jaivorio Burkes is freaking huge! Marlon Lucky is pretty shy (I was the last one to a sig from him before he went into the lockerroom (sweet)! Corey Mckeon really does think he is a rock star. Terrence Nunn laughed out loud when I told him I wanted Austin to be the scene of "Terrance's Revenge" this year. Terrence also needs to work on his calves, they look like wrists. Currenski Gilleylen looked like a kid in a candy store. Austin Stafford has got some serious hair. Will Henry has really bulked up. Llydon Murtha seems to just go on forever he's so tall. It's fun to watch your sons meet their heroes!

I see what you are saying Bubba, but after a full year (plus) of gaging Keller, I don't see an "awe-struck" feeling. I mean, he has been given the "first round NFL pick" tag for sometime now, and he has spoken to the press in fashion (QB controversy between him and Ganz "I'm not caught up in it, I'm just doing what the coaches ask me"). He knows he is here for one year and that's it. It's pretty much a business attitude from here until the draft.

My perspective if it means anything at all. And it's not negative. He just isnt a green freshman or Kansas JUCO.

Thanks for the info I really think Corey is going to be my favorite Husker this year. The guy has the same type of attitude that I kinda do and I think I would be just as crazy as him if I was in his shoes!!!! :lol:
