So......if the running game suffers tomorrow because of lack of perimeter blocking, does Bell feel the backlash and a lot of poster start calling for Kinnie again. I will be watching with interest because BK has straight planted DBs into the sideline on runs this year and last. Easily the best blocking WR on the team, and the best thing is he is sustaining his blocks 15-20 yards down the field.
That is true probably. Taylor missed probably seven throws. Either high, wide, or his favorites behind and at the ankles. If Taylor would at least get the ball near his receivers waists he'd probably be a 60-65% passer. So I will echo Blackshirtsguru in his thoughts.So......if the running game suffers tomorrow because of lack of perimeter blocking, does Bell feel the backlash and a lot of poster start calling for Kinnie again. then tell TM to keep him blocking and don't throw the damn ball to him....he missed 7 throws last week against Freak-sho.
My guess would be his hands are fine otherwise he wouldn't be back their catching punts & Kickoffs. My question about Marlowe is his ability to get open/separation.i think Marlowe is a lot like Curenski Gillyen, lots of speed, but not real good hands. i doubt Curenski gets to touch the ball this year.
I agree.I can watch almost any cfb game and see some wr make an outstanding catch or two. I agree with the coaches that our wrs are responsible to make the catches if they can get their hands on it. Surely it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the difference between a N. Paul/BK & a Peterson/Swift.
If we set the bar so low that only perfect passes are expected to be caught other teams will leave us in the dust in that crucial part of the game. It can be argued that it's already happened. Time to raise the level.
GBR!!
Turner made a pretty great adjustment on one of the long balls last week.I haven't seen any games yet, so I can't say anything EXCEPT...I see WR's all over the country making plays on the ball. I haven't seen that from the Huskers in a while, but maybe this year will be the year. Oh and if people are correct and Kinnie is hurt (and it is affecting his performance), then maybe he should sit. Give him time to heal up. I can't wait to see what Bell can do...I just hope it doesn't cause problems in the run game, because he is kind of small weight wise isn't he?
He also caused Taylor's int by letting it bounce right off his hands.Turner made a pretty great adjustment on one of the long balls last week.I haven't seen any games yet, so I can't say anything EXCEPT...I see WR's all over the country making plays on the ball. And, I don't want to be a jerk, but I remember BK dropping a perfect throw in the spring game when he wasn't injured. (But the injury could be making him drop more than usual).
