KETV in Omaha reports

Would Dr. Tom really give Bo permission to speak to another Big 10 school, that will in fact be in the same division? Let me think on that one........................ NO!

Totally bogus rumor. Eric Olson (AP) just wrote:

Just got off phone with Bo Pelini, and he is not happy about Toledo Blade report that he might be interested in Michigan job. "There is no truth to that report," he said.

I'll believe this when I see the Michigan job filled by someone other than Bo Pelini.

And....there we have it. Yet another bogus rumor started by some wannabe journalist who wants to be the first one with the "breaking story".

Really? Do you really give this rumor that much credibility?

Not just that, but more credibility than Bo himself saying it's bogus?

I'm not saying Bo's an Honest Abe, but if he's gonna leave for another program, he's gonna leave. Why would he flat-out lie about it?

No, I'm not giving the rumor credibility. That's not my intent with that statement. I simply meant there's no telling exactly what someone might be thinking about a possible new job, including Bo. This is the approach I take with any potential coaching change these days. I'll believe Bo's statement "there is no truth to that report" when I see it, and the only way I'll see it is if someone else takes the MU job.

Mich hiring a Buckeye? Really? Michigan fans want a 'Michigan man' I can only imagine the apoplexy wolverine fans would have with the arch rival getting the job.
Bo Schembechler was an assistant at Ohio State in 1952 and then again from 1958-1962, earned his masters degree there, and played college ball for Woody Hayes (at Miami, OH).
But schembechler wasn't ever an actual player at tOSU.
Okay, fine.

Gary Moeller, Michigan coach from 1990-1994

Graduated from tOSU after playing for head coach Woody Hayes and assistant coach Bo Schembechler. Born in Lima, Ohio.

That's two "Ohio" boys that coached at Michigan, to think that they'd overlook someone like Bo just because he went to Ohio State is just ignorance.

The last Bo Michigan had as a coach was an Ohio man. But I don't think he's going anywhere, none the less.

The media these days is really sad....sources aren't even checked anymore. Amazing how these people still have jobs. There are now 2 professions where you can be entirely wrong on a consistent basis and still keep your job:

Journalists and weathermen
