Kevin Cross

The talk of Yvan not playing got me wondering how Cross was doing.  It's pretty obvious that Yvan doesn't measure up now that Walker and Andre are up to speed.  He'll probably be gone after the season.

Pretty much confirms that Cross wasn't going to be a factor here (even though they are different players).  But Cross just isn't athletic enough or a good enough shooter to compete with what Fred is bringing in.  He's currently averaging 6.5 ppg and 4.7 rpg for Tulane in 21 minutes per game.  But he's only shooting 33.6% from the floor and 22.0% on threes.  His shooting form just isn't good.

Not trying to pile on the guy but it's interesting to see how and why the roster is evolving.

I've watched quite a few Tulane games- he gets good looks too just seemingly can't knock them in. Hope he figures it out but there's a chance he gets surpassed there too given the number of transfers Coach Hunter likes to bring in annually.

hit the game winner for Tulane last night at Wichita State. Wave have improbably started 4-1 with wins over Memphis, Cincinnati, and Wichita State during that stretch.

Cross himself has made a big jump this year. Averaging 14ppg 6reb 4ast on 55% FGs and 33% from deep. Happy for him.
