Khalil Davis Suspended for Northwestern

I find this kind of funny, because the twins are some of the most soft spoken and polite guys on the team. But they're out there on Saturdays throwing haymakers.

Thus far, in year 2, we aren't any better than we were in year 1 other than record.

Since this thread appears to be completely hijacked I’ll ask:

Do you think the problem isn’t that he was wrong about his statement, but that the improvement you’re showing is minuscule?

Oh it's definite that's it's not the biggest improvement we expected. I'll be happy to see how the first half of this season's stats compare to the second half. To see if we are seeing the same improvement.

I hope to god we can improve quicker than 1.5 points on both offense and defense and the defense giving up 68 fewer yards per game.

Heard from fans or people close to the program? I'd love to see that, I figured Green would pick up some snaps and Deontre/Stille/Carlos would play slightly more snaps. But working in Robinson or Wildeman/Rogers would be cool.
I think it was Rosie the sports guy at KFAB speculating about it but I can’t remember which freshman he was talking about.

Sounds like a great idea to me...get them all in and let’s see what they can do.

Turnovers IMO have been one of the biggest hindrances for us this year. Through 5 games last year we had 10. That’s not good. Through 5 games this year we’ve had 14! I don’t have the time but it feels like a good chunk of those have come on our side of the field. Throw in AM’s slump and no Pickering and that’s been the story of our team so far this year.

Defense has been much better outside of 4th quarter Colorado and osu. Offense put the D in bad positions late in the game against Colorado and couldn’t put the game out of reach when they had plenty of chances to.

Edit- 14 turnovers this year not 15. Tied for 2nd most turnovers lost.

I think you did more damage to my optimism than you did anything else, thanks for that.  Yikes...

I checked. Of the 14, eight have come on our side of the field.

Against S Alabama we gave the ball up on our 49 & our 13 yard line.

Against Colorado we turned it over at their 15 on the last play of regulation, once at their 35 and once at our 34.

Against NIU we turned it over once - at our 10 yard line.

Against Illinois we gave up four turnovers, all on our side of the field. We gave them the ball on our own 37, 8, 38 & 14.

Against OSU we gave the ball up at midfield twice & once on their 4 yard line.
