Kickoffs

It was nice to see a few kickoffs get in the endzone. Plus our coverage was pretty good on the ones that were returned. Hopefully this is something that we continue to work on in practice.

 
yeah i heard the opeing kickoff on the radio i went ape sh#t cray just becuase we had a kickoff reach the endzone then i knew it was going to be a good day

absolutely not.... I know you were just messing around, but you gotta be happy that congdon showed why he was a frosh all american. He nailed his field goals tonight. that is his real job, kickoffs are not necessarily the fg kickers job.

Yah know I guess I have been spoiled over the years when we actually had kickers who could both kick field goals and kick a kick off into the end zone.

Have we become so specialized that we need someone to tee it up for Congdon too? Oh yeah he is a California kid. He still needs work some day we will need a 42-45 yard feild goal to win a game!

It was great to see them at or neear the end zone all day!!!! GBR

Before the game we saw Congdon nail a 40 some yarder into the wind. A few student saw it and we went nuts. Even though it's just practicing, it's nice to see we know he can do it.

 
I was starting to think that kicking the ball out of bounds might be better than what we were doing. The 35 yard line is a lot better than in our territory. Good to see we can reach the end zone.
