Killer New Husker Song

Hey Guys,

My Dad ( Brad Jenkins) played Tight End for the Skers back in 1975 ( the year I was born). Then he coached with Tom as a grad assistant in 85 & 86. Needless to say, my brothers and have bled red for 4 decades.

I am now living in Nashville, TN and I am a musician.

My buddies and I wrote a song called "Throw Tha Bones", dedicated to the black shirts. You can listen FOR FREE on YouTube. Or you can download it on iTunes. Also, please like our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/huskersong.

Could everyone do this dad of 3 daughters a favor and spread the word about our song ? I put my heart and soul into this project for all you guys !!! It seriously ROCKS ! ( I used to play guitar for Pillar, so I promise it sounds TOP NOTCH). The husker Marketing Dept told me last year that they started playing it at all the home games on 3rd down & short ( near the end of the season). The only game I went to last year was the Miami game so I haven't got to hear it in the stadium myself.

The chorus of the song was inspired from the words on the side of the stadium: "not the victory, but the action, not the goal but the game, in the deed the GLORY".

Let's get this song spread all thru the Husker Nation !!!

Let me know what you all think !!!

Thank you guys in advance !!!!

GBR & Throw THA Bones !!!

- Travis Jenkins

Thanks for sharing! Great job getting it played at the home games; hope you get a chance to hear it at Memorial this year.

Dude, how long did you play for Pillar? I saw them at Lifelight Festival like 11 years ago, and now I'm in a band that plays there!

Anyway, nicely done on the song. I like that it sounds like it could stand on its own...sometimes fan songs come off as way too gimmicky, and yours is an exception

This isn't new, you posted this all over last year, but it's all good.

I used to listen to Pillar quite a bit and hung out with them a few times after you had left the band. Seemed like good dudes even if I grew out of the rapcore/nu-metal phase as soon as I graduated high school.

Personally I don't really care for the song. It's very well produced, but I just don't think any song regardless of genre that is dedicated to/about a college football team will ever be something that I'm able to take seriously. I know some people really like this stuff though and that's just my own thoughts.

Meh. I commend you in your ability to play music, but that song is not my cup of tea, even if it's about the Cornhuskers.

I sure appreciate the work that went into the song. Probably a great song to play short pump up pieces of but just a little too cheesy for 3 whole minutes. Just being honest
