K-State to host Football 101 for Women

MANHATTAN, Kan. - The Kansas State football program is giving its female fans an opportunity to learn the basics of college football straight from the Wildcat coaching staff.
Head coach Ron Prince announced Saturday that the K-State coaching staff will host a specially designed clinic for the women of the Wildcat nation on Friday, Aug. 25, from 1 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Vanier Sports Complex.
The clinic, entitled Football 101 for Women, is intended to provide a comfortable setting for women to learn the basics of college football.
Coach Prince and his staff will guide participants through the strategies of offense, defense and special teams, explain the rules of the game and the signals use by Big 12 officials and discuss the equipment the players wear on game day.
The clinic will also provide participants with several interactive learning opportunities, including on-the-field demonstrations.
The registration fee to attend K-State's Football 101 for Women clinic is $50 and includes a souvenir bag with exclusive gifts for the participants, a certificate of completion, a Football 101 team photo, complimentary cocktails and appetizers.
Space in Football 101 for Women will be limited to the first 100 registrants. Participants must be at least 18 years of age to attend.
