KSU loses another player??

Heisman Trophy Winner
Rumor has it, OL Matt Boss has left the team. This kid is bigtime. When he was recruited as a 4 star, he was the #4 ranked Offensive Guard in the country, ranked #92 overall, #2 player in Kansas and #16 in the Midlands Sweet 66. Rivals had him listed at 6'5", 315lbs and a 4.8 40!

Rivals

Found this on another board:

"And I hate to post it here, because for the most part you guys have been cool, with me anyway and I try not to be one of the big time flamers, a little flame every now and then but all in all, I am really hoping you turn it around for the good of the division and the good of our rivalry but I have heard some things, and I heard them from a person I know to be close to the program in manhattan, and when I say close to the program, I mean in the program. feel free to curse me all you want, but I think you have a problem coming that will make the Freeman/clayton fiasco look like a sunday brunch.

anyway, here it goes.

after the baylor game Prince and an offensive assistant got into a physical altercation that had to be broken up. that offensive coach will be publically let go after the season, but it's known that he is already gone. He will still coach and be at games and practices, but he knows he is gone, and that isn't the worst part. Recently, within the last couple of days prince walked up to about 20 members of the offense, give or take a couple and said right to their faces " f*ck you" "f*ck you" and down the line he went. he was yelling at them about how the defense has done their best and how the offense sucks and this and that.

Now, that isn't even the worst. Their is brewing, a possible massive exodus of many, many KSU players. basically, the Snyder recruited players feel like that are being sh*t all over, because they are and are sick of it. There is still alot of residual anger from how Webb and evridge left the program, Meier getting the axe in favor of freeman and clayton getting the axe in favor of a frosh have the team steaming. princes screaming f-bombs at them may have been the straw that broke the cats back.

Sorry to bother any of you with this, I just thought I would give you a heads up as to what's coming down the pike. I'm sure some of you more realistic posters already saw this coming"

From ESPN's boards:

I understand the Internet is a neverending cess pool ofmisinformation. At the risk of being branded another Internet Rumorstarter, I promise the following story is how I heard it and what Ibelieve to be true:

A good friend of mine is the uncle of Matt Boss, the guard who quit K-State today.

Prince kicked his whole starting offensive line out of practice on Monday, and told them not to come back until Thursday.

ThomasClayton and some of the seniors questioned why Prince kicked those guysout of practice because all they did was jump before the ball wassnapped during drills. Clayton was then demoted to third team forchallenging Prince. Gerald Spexarth then questioned Prince for demotingClayton, and Spexarth was told not to return until next Monday.

Whilethis whole fruckus was occuring, Boss was in the training roomreceiving treatment for a seperated shoulder. Unaware of thesuspensions, Boss returned to the practice field with his arm in asling.

Prince immediately grabbed Boss, apparently ripped offhis sling and proceeded to call him a "f....n p....y" over and over.Prince allegedly stopped practice and then put Boss in the middle ofthe whole team and said something to the effect of...."This is whyBaylor kicked our a$$, because we have f....n p....ies like this guy onour team."

Prince made these remarks while pointing to Boss.Boss then went back in the lockeroom, put on his pads, and practiced inintense pain. The trainers told Coach Prince that Boss was unable topractice, and Prince allegedly berated the trainers.

Princepicked on Boss the rest of the practice and more players tried todefend him. Those teammates who came to Boss's aid were kicked out ofpractice. Prince then proceeded to talk about how his players will playthrough pain and not be "f....g p.....s" like Boss.

Mondaynight, Boss called his parents in tears. He told them what had happenedand they told him to stick it out and suck it up, but they knewsomething was wrong with him. All he ever wanted to do was playfootball for K-State. He was a 4-Star recruit and a freshman starterlast season.

Tuesday, Matt again called in tears, he couldn't move his arm but he didn't want to be humiliated by Prince again.

Hisparents finally decided to come see him. When they saw Matt, theynoticed the obvious 2 inch bump where his collarbone was clearlyunattached from his clavicle. They demanded a meeting with Prince, buthe reportedly was to busy breaking down film. His parents were sick ofbeing made to wait so they told the receptionist Matt was quitting thefootball team and they were taking him home.

Bill Snyder's son,who is Director of Football Operations or something like that forK-State signed Boss's release and they were never allowed to meet withPrince. When Boss asked to retrieve his stuff from the locker room hewas told, "Only K-State football players and staff are allowed in thelocker room. We'll send you your stuff.

Boss is so upset right now, he's considering quitting football altogether. His family is trying to convince him otherwise.

Ihate this story because my buddy and his family are really upset abouteverything. This whole family is a bunch of hard-working farmers. Theyare not the kind of people who challenge authority or spoil their kids. However, they are all very pissed off because Prince decided tohumilate Matt in order to demonstrate a dumb power trip over hisfootball team. Matt had never been singled out before, and Prince hadbarely talked to Boss since arriving on campus. Boss had never beendisciplined for any off the field problems and he was a good student.Prince seriously just threw Boss under the bus to show his mutinousfootball team who was in charge.

The ship is sinking in Manhattan, and Boss will not be the last one to go.

Man, I'm starting to feel some deep sympathy for the KSU players, many of whom dreamt of the opportunity to play for the Cats. I really hope that Princess's rein is short. You don't wish this abuse on anyone...and the K-state players (especially those recruited by Snyder) are obviously being treated like crap.

Ouch. That is about 10,000 times worse than anything you heard coming out of Lincoln when Callahan took over. If that is true, it doesn't look good for KSU.

Haven't looked an other baord regarding this, but if this is true... Prince is as good as gone...

You know, I just got a bad feeling when Prince took over.

He just seems like he's an bad guy and I think he's going to screw that program up.

Supposedly, Prince and an offensive assistant got into a physical skirmish following the Baylor game as well.

This has been posted on a few other boards. The K-State boards I visited didn't seem to talk to much about this and if it was brought up, it was ruled a rumor and swept under the table.

All I can say is YIKES.

If that's true, Prince is *this* close to losing that team.

Let that Boss kid transfer to NU.

I posted this earlier under the "More Sports" section as well. Mods may want to consider merging the topics?

Let that Boss kid transfer to NU.
Most definitely agree!! This kid was highly ranked (#4 Offensive Guard in the nation according to Rivals) when he was recruited.

I suspect that this a valid story..I don't think it could be made up. If these details are accurate then I feel terrible for the Boss kid and the others that were involved. Prince lost control and is obviously disturbed by the loss to Baylor last week. There are other ways of getting your point across. I wonder how the players are going to respond to him now. Does Prince think that throwing guys around and calling them f-ing "pu$$ies" is going to earn their respect? I'm sure potential recruits will love opportunity to play at WWE, ...I mean KSU. :sarcasm Grab a lifejacket Cat fans, the preverbial ship is going down.

:restore :restore :restore

I don't know...this sounds like it's a little TOO detailed of a description from a friend of an uncle.

Let's just wait and see if we get any statements from KSU released.

Just to add to the rumor... The only difference I've heard from the program from this story is that Boss was cleared by the trainers for contact, yet he came out of the locker room without pads on. The trainers never told prince that he couldn't practice; and that is why prince called him a p__sy. Not condoning his actions... but if any of you have ever played a team sport, there's always that one lazy kid that can never practice because he's "hurt". I'm sure prince was just calling him out to get him to practice.

What I also find funny about this story is a clavicle IS your collarbone... Not sure how a collarbone could be dislocated from itself. Apparently his parents don't really know anything about the "injury". If it were my kid, I'd be an expert on the injury.
