Despite all the grumblings among us about our D, you have to give it up for B-State for coming so close to upsetting Nebraska in Lincoln! They played a very very well executed game. Good Luck Ball State!!!

 
Their offense was CLICKING. Not sure if it was that they are that good, or our defense is that bad. I think our D really made them look good.

 
Their defense sucked as well thank god!!!! This turned into an offensive game and our offense just happened to be a little big better.

 
Congratulations to Ball St. You deserved to win that game. You had a great game plan in a very hard place to play. You guys are awesome.

 
i only hope they hang 70 plus on Ohio.

then i don't have to hear the solich huggers tell us how frank wouldn't have let the defense go.

Just like Appalachian State did to Michigan. I guarantee Ball State came into Lincoln believing they could trounce Nebraska. Their game plan was solid, they exploited the (many) weaknesses of our defense and actually dropped a few balls that could have easily sealed the game for them. They outplayed our defense without breaking a sweat.

 
Their QB is awesome (ours is pretty sweet too, just not quite as mobile). Their offense is pretty decent with him running the show.

 
That 'Love' wide receiver was a quick lil' booger..... and Nate Davis is a stud at QB. Ball State has a very good offensive attack. They deserve some of the credit for scoring 40.

I sure hope they tear it up in the MAC, scoring 40+, and winning some ballgames in the process.

Very, very impressed with Nate Davis (and Sam Keller :thumbs ).

 
I was watching ABC and they did the highlights of the game. The closing comment was something like "1100 yeards of total offense, TD's by 11 different players, and Nebraska beat Ball State even without the blackshirts"

And this is the team who lost on opening day 14-13 to the mighty Miami (Ohio) Redhawks (1-2 on the year, currently getting blown out by Coloado)! Wow!
