KYLE CROOKS NAMED HUSKER FOOTBALL PLAY-BY-PLAY VOICE

I'm excited for him and for a new era. Can't ever replace Greg but he definitely doesn't need to.

My only criticism from his highlight reels is that he seems to have the exact same pitch/intonation on the last word of every highlight play, which could get quite aggravating, but glad to wait and see and root for him.

Say, whatever happened to the PA announcer who was scheming old ladies out of hundreds of thousands of dollars?

I did while watching ESPN. He may have been a bit nervous looking for things to say due to his lack of knowledge about all things Nebraska. He repeated our uniform colors several times in the first few minutes. He was more mechanical than passionate but perhaps that will change in time. It felt like he was trying to be Nebraska without yet feeling it in his heart. The basic facts of his words were ok just needs more passion

That's how I felt when I first listened to Warren Swain. By the time he decided to leave, I was disappointed he did.

What's worse, Greg always did alliterations, so it should be Superior to ScottsBluff, Ainsworth to Alliance, Omaha to Ogallala, Fremont to Fairbury, Hastings to Hardy, Columbus to Cozad, Bellevue to Burwell, etc etc yada yada. TURRIBLE :eek:
