agree, we are so short on talent it is just plain pitiful. we looked slow and out of place most of the night. Swift, Ganz and Helu are the only real gamers we have.....there are a few others, but damn few.

YOU could even recruit at USC, I would excel there. Just get a list of top recruits from rivals and the phone numbers of a half dozen USC cheerleaders. The REAL friendly ones.

i am not buying that crap anymore about Hollywood and ND TV exposure. plenty of talent landing in Missouri, Oklahoma and Okie St. and there isn't anything glamorous about Colombia, Norman or Stillwater.

give the coaches some time to get some gamers in here....we don't have a pipeline established yet, but i do think we have some decent coaches now.......damn it......give it time and give it a rest!

i do like the group of young coaches we have. Bo and co. will do just fine. give him time to bring in his own players

no no no. No more NFL coaches that don't have recent college experience. And seriously, let's get som better players before we go out and get new coaches. Give it 4 years

 
I am not saying that Lane would be the save all for NU. I think Bo is going to bring NU back....the point I was trying to make was that Lane is a better college coach than a pro coach (kind of like Pete at USC).

I know Bo will get the players he needs to run his system and the rest of the staff will be able to bring in big names. It is just going to take some time. The reason kids are going to USC just isn't for the "cheerleaders or Hollywood", they are going there because they are good and Pete finds a way for them to get on the field as true freshman. If you think one of the main reasons why kids choose USC is b/c of the Hollywood mystique, why haven't they ALWAYS been as dominant as they have been these past 5 or so years?

 
I don't think Watson is a long term OC at Nebraska.

Kiffin would be a great hire but I wouldn't expect him to hang around long either.

There is a coach in Sioux Falls, SD who could be a diamond in the rough. His name is Curtis Riggs and he has a great resume. National Champion as a QB. National Champion as an assistant NAIA college coach. And a four time National Champion for the Sioux Falls Storm, an arena league team, 3 straight undefeated seasons. Granted he's always been on a small stage but he's also been a winner every where he has either played or coached.

I don't want to be overly harsh, and I'm not calling for any heads at this point, but it seems to me that failure seems to follow Cotton wherever he goes. I don't know if he's just the unluckiest man in the midwest, but the play of this line has got to have Bo scratching his head. I mean, Callahan's whole schtick was the O-line. I don't understand how you can be a pure pass blocker and do nothing else when you weigh 300 pounds a piece and have years of experience.
