I want this guy! Rumors are flying around that Arkansas and Lane have a lot of interest in each other because Lane wants back in college football... if thats so why couldn't we get him to come here, his dad was here and Nebraska is a better job than Arkansas easily. Also he's supposedly bringing Ole Miss' ex-HC Ed Orgeron with him. I say get Lane a interview!!!

 
I completely agree! While I would welcome with open arms Turner or Bo, I would love to see Lane as the HC. Maybe we could even be lucky enough as to have his dad Monte come along as DC till he retires. Talk about the dream team! We would have 2 of the best coaches in the NFL, and the Husker ties!

i agree as much as i want a different coach. cough ....kelly.... cough. i would definitely like to see him here but, only if monte comes as well.

I can't see him leaving NFL. its silly.

I'd be cool with Monte Kiffin though. I wanted hgim to get a look last time around.

 
I highly doubt he's leaving the NFL just yet, but it would definitely be worth a call. His offense with his pop's D would be just what the doctor ordered.

Great, ever since this idea of Lane coming to NU got into my head I can't help obsessing about it. If he really is interesting in going back to college, I think it makes sense on so many levels. The only thing is NU probably wouldn't pay him what Arkansas or some other schools might.

Another possibility, however, is that he's waiting to see if Pete Carroll takes over in San Diego after the bowl season. I think he would probably want to go to USC more than Nebraska, as much as it pains me to say it as a guy who grew up in Nebraska and went to UCLA.
