pardon my ignorance, but what are those?

Oh and I win!!!!!!
Guitar pedals.

The black one is a Pewaves JPT-10 (a tuner).

The one above it is a BBE Green Screamer, for soft distortion.

The lion-painted one is a custom-painted MI Audio Crunch Box, for high distortion.

The orange one is a BBE Boosta Grande, which is just a volume booster for solos and leads and whatnot.

The black one is a vintage Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phaser. It makes my guitar make swirly sounds.

The big green one with multiple switches is a fancy delay pedal. Makes my guitar echo.

I'm working on a way to carry them around inside that suitcase instead of velcroed to a piece of wood like they are now.

Ya have to pedal guitars now instead of just using your fingers and a pick?????

Sheetfire boy just light that puppy up with some nitromethane yeeehahhhhh

I win I win I win I win I win

follow the yellow brick road

Get a piece of styrofoam that fits the suitcase...cut you some squares in it so ur pedals will fit them. Nice and snug, and....

...I win.

Since I don't play guitar I always thought that different guitars sounded different and that was it. I didn't realize all the add-on equipment needed to make all the extra sound effects.

GBR

I win

Probably 70% of a guitar's distinctive sound actually comes from the amplifier.
