Leaving for the NFL early

He will. His draft stock will vastly improve if he plays another year (barring injury obviously). He even said about a week ago, that he doesn't think he's playing to his full potential yet. Personally, I don't think it's a good idea for very many players to enter the draft before their Junior year. Most Sophmores are still pretty raw and that extra year does wonders for them.

Gregory won't go anywhere. His resume isn't long, nor good enough to be a 1st or 2nd rounder right now. I would worry about him going next year, but Nebraska doesn't usually EVER have players declare early. I think this trend will continue. Gregory stays for 3 years

We just would need Suh to talk to him. He repeated many times that Bo talked him into staying for his senior year and that was the best choice he has ever made.

Gregory is good, damn good, he needs to stay at the very least one more year to mature to the point that he can be a draft impact player

He hasn't had many (any?) that were getting much attention from the NFL before their senior year, either. Pretty much all of his best NFL guys had breakout senior seasons that really put them on the map.

Says a lot more about the quality of the players than Pelini's salesmanship.

He hasn't had many (any?) that were getting much attention from the NFL before their senior year, either. Pretty much all of his best NFL guys had breakout senior seasons that really put them on the map.

Says a lot more about the quality of the players than Pelini's salesmanship.

I'm not actually making a qualitative statement here, just an observation. But there have been at least a few players that could have left under Pelini - Marlon Lucky, Ndamukong Suh, Prince, Alfonzo come to mind.

Hmmm.

Suh became a sensation during his senior year. Arguably, his breakout game was that rainy Thursday night against Missouri.

Dennard was the featured corner his senior year and still didn't get drafted until the 6th round.

Prince had some hype his junior year, but it was pretty widely agreed that he would be a late round pick.

Of the four you mentioned, only Marlon Lucky would have arguably been better served coming out after his junior year, though Pelini also had the least to do with his career relative to the others.
