Bill's last game. My last game as a student. Ganz's record-setting second start. The epoch of what the West Coast offense could be at Nebraska, only coming to fruition when it was being rightfully ushered out the door.

I remember going to Amigos after the game and someone ordered as “Josh Freeman for Heisman” and never picked up their food. They kept yelling it the entire time we were there.

Also, I forgot going for it on 4th & 20 up big in the 4th. If it was anyone but K-State, you might actually feel bad for them.

Being at this game, I thought we killed them, but rewatching this was kind of sad. We really were a sub 500 team.

Absolutely stellar downfield blocking by Smith, Purify and Peterson.

Also, Ganz really is pedestrian. I have always hung him on a high rung in my memory bank while blocking out Callahan. Mo is almost better than I remember.

They let out a season of frustration that Saturday.

Being at this game, I thought we killed them, but rewatching this was kind of sad. We really were a sub 500 team.

The team imploded.  The senior year leadership that season was lacking.

I re-watched and realize that 3 coaches later (Cally, Bo and Frost) we are still making a lot of the same mistakes....Just not good at the basics.....

Ganz in 2009 = NC.    Maybe Bo is still here then. :dunno      If we had a good O to go wt the Suh Led D - we would have been right on top.

Undeniable IMHO.  Crazy difference a year can make in the direction of a program.

And a year after Suh - we have TM as QB and how he tore up the field.  Just poor timing -  Ganz leaves a year too soon and TM comes a year too late.
