I noticed that nobody mentioned playing Iowa as an exciting thing until they were directly asked. This is a fan's rivalry.

 
Caputo had knee surgery after the season, but nothing serious. Four weeks into winter.

He expects this offense to be easier. Beck is focused on making them understand the concepts of why they're doing what they're doing, not just "on this play do this."

 
The players find the simplification harder at first, because it's hard to let go of the old offense. He's excited about it, and it's a lot simpler, more about understanding concepts. More about focusing on fundamentals.

 
There are a lot of new schemes, but a lot of the old plays are making their ways back in. There are only so many blocking schemes, though.

 
The Holiday Bowl isn't how they wanted to end their season. As a Line as a whole, they're all looking to work and putting that behind them.

 
Keith and Ricky made life easier because they're good. But ARod and BLove are good, too. Nobody with Ricky's mentality yet. Spring ball will tell.

 
Martinez is absolutely more confident and he's coming along. He was a young guy. He's a great athlete, great talent.

It'll be fun to play them because they have a good defensive line.

 
Rex to finish things up. Every coach loves this guy, has nothing but great things to say about him. Ever notice that? Sounds like the kind of guy you'd want your daughter to marry.

 
Beck has a great mind for the game. It's cool having his position coach as his OC. He simplifies it for the players, makes it easier for the players. The verbiage is easier.

Ron Brown is awesome. The one guy he would want to be his position coach after all the changes. Great all around guy, will have them ready to play.

He'll carry whatever load they want him to carry. Whatever they want him to do. Even WR.

 
It's different being more of a leader. The coaches expect that of him. Whenever you see something that shouldn't be done, you put your foot in it and say that's not how we do that here.

Taylor is doing a tremendous job speaking up. They had a meeting the other day and he was asking questions left and right.

 
Bowl loss left a bad taste in their mouth. Definitely motivated. Had a week off, then got into it right away. Normally they take more time to get into school but this year they got right after it.

 
Beck's attacking offenses means play fast, attack, and have fun. Don't worry about what the defenses are going to do, just attack them.
