Live Spring Press Confrence

I never arbitrarily decided Watson was 'my guy', or that Beck isn't, if that is what is being suggested here.
Mmm.... I'm pretty sure you posted just that not so many months ago; that you were guilty of picking a player, or a coach, or some such thing, and sticking by them no matter what. The conversation centered on Zac Lee at the time, but evidence suggests that Shawn Watson is another favorite of yours.

I'm not sayin'. I'm just sayin'.

I said something along those lines, so I'll clarify now. Yes, there are some coaches or players who I find really easy to root for. And some guys who are not as easy to root for. I'll root for the Cory Ross's over the Lawrence Phillips any day, but that does not mean I'm blinded and can't see the latter's talent, or that the former wasn't a great member of the team that deserved all of the cheer.

Watson earned his keep - until now, apparently - and I had formed a high opinion of him as a coach. Other guys that I had high opinions of as staffers - Beck, Pap, Brown, Sanders. Beck's a real go-getter and has been aces in recruiting. As OC, he has a pretty promising background.

The only debate I am interested in here, is the direction of our offense for next year, which is still a lot of mystery. And I am pointing out that in some key respects, it is not going to be a night-and-day departure from what we had before. I'm fighting against senselessly recycled critiques such as "jack of all trades, master of none", "fluffball passing offenses", and so on. In this case, I am talking about how I like offenses that take what the defense leaves open - or 'going where they ain't' - however you want to put it. I really do not see how this has anything to do with me having a high opinion of the coaching abilities of both Beck and Watson.

It sounds like Bo may be getting a bit better with the press as well. Granted, it is much easier to do that in the off-season. From reading the recap that Knapplc wrote, I will conclude that Bo is finding ways to give the press information, without going into very much detail.
