LinkFor those wondering how Andrew White has been faring in Nebraska basketball practices, let’s check in with a player from the Huskers’ regular rotation.
“Oh, Andrew’s a dog on the scout team,” Nebraska freshman guard Tarin Smith said. “He comes in and works hard every day, rebounds, shoots.”
White also causes some, well, frustration.
“He makes some shots that p--- the whole first team off when we play good defense,” Smith said, offering those words in the biggest way a compliment could be given. “Andrew White, he’s helped us a lot.”
Now, if only White could suit up Tuesday night, when Nebraska (10-7, 2-3 Big Ten Conference) hosts Minnesota (12-7, 1-5) at Pinnacle Bank Arena, all would be great.
“Maybe we’ll sneak him in there,” Smith said, smiling.
That’s not an option, of course.
