Ehlers chooses Huskers over Toronto Blue Jays
Dennis Ehlers said Monday night that his son Logan, who had considered signing professionally with Toronto, will follow through on his commitment to play for Nebraska.
The 6-foot-1 left-hander had signed with the Huskers but reconsidered after being selected in the eighth round of the June major league draft by the Blue Jays. Toronto had made several offers this summer to sign Ehlers, but Dennis Ehlers said his son had a certain price in mind and that Toronto did not reach it.
He did not disclose that price.
Logan Ehlers was a two-time All-Nebraska player for the Pioneers and struck out more than 500 during his four-year varsity career.
