I have said it every year since 2009. If Ganz had one more year, we'd have a NC.............Or Martinez a year earlier.......

Our 2019 recruiting class ranking is going to either give more or less credence to this, depending on where it falls. But looking back, the difference between Pelini/Riley and Frost is neither Pelini/Riley had any kind of "national attention factor" to:
-Land a really, really good quarterback
-Land Top 20 recruiting classes
Frost has already done the first thing. If he does the second thing, this program dominates the West and gets back on the map.

Yea, but to be fair, the two best years on the list were mostly made up of Callahan recruits (at least the best year was; 2010 could have a case made that it was more of Pelini's doing).

Personally think Frost inherited a bigger mess than Pelini. Frost had to deal with a team that had little to no accountability; was severely out of shape; a 2017 class that has been completely wiped out; and arguably more physical league.
Pelini had his difficulties, but no where near the issues Frost inherited.

I was more referencing what they inherited vs. the results of that first year. The pool of talent was significantly different.
