Loveland, Greely, Ft. Collins residents

Anyone from the area?

Curious about schools, areas to live, which is best, etc.
I live in Longmont which is just south of Loveland. If I had to move north I'd take Loveland then Ft Collins. Both are great towns though. Ft. Collins is my favorite but I think Loveland may be less expensive for housing. I can't speak to the school systems. My daughter went through school in the St. Vrain Valley School district, (Boulder County) Nothing to brag about.

I have a mess of cousins in that area.

I remember great Summer visits with my Aunt and Uncle (Buell and Clairabell) at their cabin/home in Podre.

Their cabin was a mile from Podre River and Uncle Buell was the postmaster in Ft. Collins..

I think it was about 20-30 miles West of Ft. Collins, but now that I look at a map, it appears to have been overtaken by Ft. Collins...(like Elkhorn by Omaha).

Don't remember seeing any schools at the time <_< but I did catch a couple of 12" Rainbow Trout within seconds of each other on my last visit when I was 14..the only two left before they restocked...

(Beginners luck..Pissed off my "Professional Fisherman" Cousin to no end)

Moving are ya???

Just visit Estes Park....yeah I know tourist trap, but I've never experienced anything like Rocky Mountain National Park.

Went rafting and drove through Loveland and Ft. Collins to get there. I was quite impress3ed with Ft. Collins. Too bad they really pay there teachers poorly. Same salary scale as Omaha except I would need a house about twice as much as I have now in Ft. Collins. :dunno
