LSU TE Transfer joins Huskers

This is an entirely new level of "walk on".

He just walked onto the field one day and asked if he could play?

We should manifest a few left tackles next!
I mean, Leach put on a kicking competition at halftime to get Tech a kicker. Can you pluck a farm kid out of the crowd to play tackle?  :LOLtartar

This seems cool and all, but in the back of my head an NCAA alarm is going off wondering if we aren't going to somehow get in trouble for this.   If not, what an interesting loop hole.

I would guess our compliance office will vet this with a fine tooth comb. If he plays this season, it’s probably a pretty good bet we will not get in trouble. But yes, very interesting loop hole.

If there’s one thing we’ve learned about NCAA investigations it should be that a natty is coming soon.

this may be the last piece of the puzzle.

It's an awesome story because it is so unique.

and I hope he makes an impact during his time here.

We really don't need another TE.

We already got Fidone, Heinrich Haarberg, Boerkircher, Janiran Bonner, Carter Nelson, Eric Ingwerson, and soon the Bear.

Come to think of it, Bonner and Carter are not tight ends this year.

And Haarberg might play QB/H-Back/TE/RB/FB and Slot or Flanker.  He's big and super talented.

I read on an Iowa board that they initially wanted him as OL, but he was set on playing TE.  Maybe that has changed?  Evidently, Ferentz thought he would be a good tackle.

I really, really hope that's true and that he's willing to move to OL for the Huskers.  I'm' confident that Rhule can find the best role for him and evidently he has a high desire to be here since he did it completely on his own.

Well isn’t that a coincidence about our tackle depth?

and can’t blame him him for leaving Baton Rouge, it’s an armpit.

Except when it involves sandwiches, extra books, extra practices because we suck too much, and extra coaching.

Fidone is injury prone, Haarberg might end up here, but qb room is thin, Carter is a freshman.  Good addition.
