LSU freshman defensive tackle Davin Cotton has entered his name into the NCAA Transfer Portal. The news was first reported by Shea Dixon of 247Sports and LSU confirmed the report, according to The Advocate. 

Cotton appeared in two games during the 2018 season, recording one tackle vs. Southeastern LA and two tackles vs. Rice. 

The Shreveport, La native was four-star prospect out of Evangel Christian Academy and was rated the No. 9 player for the state of Louisiana for the class of 2018.

Just curious when people post about these guys that pop up in the transfer portal. Is there any rhyme or reason why we post certain people? If there is potential interest in NU I get it. If it is just some wish list guy and they have expressed 0 interest in coming to NU I guess I dont understand the relevance

Thats what I am asking. Are we trying to get him? I havnt seen anyone post anything that says we are making a run at him or he has any interest in us.

I'm not sure on that. I'll defer to the experts. 

That said, this was posted in the general Recruiting forum... so it's not like a profile was made for him (idk if this post was moved).
